Hi Rick Here, I was born in Christchurch New Zealand late 1940s, parents always had a piano in our Bryndwr home, so couldn't avoid learning a little music from my mother who was a keen musician who had previously played clarinet and Flute in the Hutt Military band as a teenager.
1959 Guitar lessons one year - 1963 - 1965 Drum Lessons Leon Jayet (above the old Beggs Building Christchurch) Two Years.
The rest is history, been in bands ever since, enjoyed every minute of it, play most instruments but master of none, never professed to be any kind of singer was a case of "having to" doing your part in the band.
